the kingsway.

This west Toronto residence (circa 1938) home to a family of 4 was overdue for a transformation after having undergone numerous alterations by the previous owners. The design objectives were driven by the clients' desire for a more cohesive feel throughout, with an open plan on the main floor and a neutral backdrop to house their extensive art collection.

Attention to lighting was paramount in achieving updated ambient lighting coupled with accent and task lighting flexibility.

This acute attention to lighting and finishes, a neutral palette of white tones and light wood species, and a flexible open plan with many options for the display of art and sculpture has enhanced the space by drawing attention to artwork while at the same time maintaining a warmth of feel for everyday modern living.
